Testimonials

"It is blowing 35 knots and it is cold and dark, the proverbial shit has hit the fan and then you find out that one of the crew is seriously hurt -- you want to know that you can pick the phone up and call someone who understands the situation and can give practical sensible advice to people who are not doctors and are looking after one of their good mates.
This is where MSOS come into their own.
I hope we don't have to call you but know you will be there for us if we do."

Skipper Green Dragon Volvo 08/09 Race

For me it is really important to have someone I know and trust who is listening 24/7 to their phone. I know that I could call at any moment and in any situation. Offshore we must monitor our health and even a minor problem untreated could have serious implications on our performance in the race or, at worst, our life.   I knew that in a serious situation I would need someone who speaks English who I know and trust, as a serious illness or injury can leave you uncapable of thinking straight. Yann Elies’ experience has confirmed this even more to me. I will continue to work with MSOS in my future projects.....

At OC Group we have been using the services of Dr Mark Tomson (Tommo) for
many years both for our sailing team, Offshore Challenges, and for OC
Events. He has designed the medical kits for most of our sailing campaigns
including Kingfisher 2's Jules Verne Trophy attempt, and he has always been
available for sound advice. We have great confidence in him.

More recently, Tommo and his colleagues (as part of Medical Support Offshore
Limited) provided medical support for OC Events in The Artemis Transat solo
race from the UK to the USA.

We feel the formation of MSOS is a positive development, and we look forward
to continue working with them.

'Knowing MSOS are on the end of the phone takes the stress out some situations when you already have enough on your plate. They have been invaluable on a number of occasions and I wouldn't go to sea without that life line they provide.'
