Stretchers

Rescue Stretchers

Rescue stretchers are essential for safely recovering a casualty from the water, retrieving an injured crew member from the deck, or stabilising a casualty with suspected spinal injuries. Each type of stretcher is designed for a specific function, with unique features tailored to different rescue situations. Whether for use in confined spaces or in water, these stretchers provide the necessary support for safe transport and evacuation.

Suitable for

These rescue stretchers are suitable for a range of maritime scenarios, including in-water rescues, boat deck extractions, and situations involving suspected spinal injuries. They are ideal for use on vessels involved in water sports and diving activities, offering critical support in emergencies. The stretchers are designed for both horizontal and vertical evacuation, with options to suit different vessel sizes and requirements.

Kit Contents

1. Evacuation Stretcher (SAR):

The SAR stretcher serves as both a rescue and evacuation stretcher. Once a casualty is secured, it provides protection for spinal injuries, pelvic fractures, and long bone fractures. Its compact size makes it ideal for confined spaces, such as passing a casualty down a companionway or narrow stairs. It also includes a lifting harness for vertical extraction.

This stretcher is designed for quick, secure attachment and is equipped with colour-coded straps for ease of use. 3. In-water Rescue and Evacuation Stretcher (2-part Carbon):

The Fibrelight rescue stretcher serves dual purposes: it is used for evacuation, allowing vertical extraction from boat to helicopter, and also for in-water rescue when buoyancy units are added. Made with carbon fibre rods, it provides rigidity and is designed for easy storage, folding neatly in half into a compact and lightweight storage bag.
