Sting Treatment Medical Kit
The Sting Treatment Kit is designed for the immediate treatment of straightforward jellyfish stings and reactions resulting from contact with other small, venomous marine animals. The kit includes instructions for the treatment of stings, guidance on pain relief, as well as advice on identifying more severe reactions, such as anaphylaxis, which may develop and should be treated with a more comprehensive kit. The kit is equipped with tools for the safe removal of any residual stingers or tentacles, pain relief, topical steroids, dressings, and gloves to protect the first aider from being stung themselves.
Suitable for
The Sting Treatment Kit is recommended for boat crew who have received first aid training. Ideally, the crew should also have access to telemedical support in case a more severe reaction occurs and professional advice is required. The kit is not a stand-alone unit but is intended to be used alongside a more comprehensive medical kit found on the main vessel.
