Trauma Medical Kits
Trauma Medical Kits are designed to offer immediate medical intervention following a traumatic injury. These kits are essential for providing stabilisation and managing trauma on site until more definitive care can be provided. The contents vary depending on the kit's purpose, from personal use for conscious casualties to more comprehensive kits designed for longer-term stabilisation or management until evacuation.
Suitable for
These kits are ideal for situations where trauma may occur at a distance from definitive medical care, such as offshore activities, remote locations, or expeditions. The Trauma Personal Kit is intended for individual use, while the Trauma Recovery and Trauma Management Kits are designed for crew members trained in first aid, allowing for more extensive care.
Kit Contents
- Trauma Personal Kit: Designed for the casualty’s own use, including equipment for managing external bleeding and immobilising fractures.
- Trauma Recovery Kit: Provides equipment for stabilising the casualty at the scene, including airway management tools, oxygen, trauma dressings, splints, and emergency pain relief.
- Trauma Management Kit: Includes all the equipment from the Recovery Kit, plus additional tools for long-term management, such as intravenous fluids, chest wound seals, and advanced pain relief.
Each kit is well-suited to the context of the injury, enabling rapid intervention based on the severity of the situation.
